Business Development Manager

Jacob Baker joined One Stop Business Finance in October 2025 as a Business Development Manager based in the North West, bringing a strong background in banking, lending, and client relationship management.

Jacob began his career with NatWest, working in local branches as a cashier before progressing into an advisor role supporting retail customers with their financial goals. He helped clients with areas such as home ownership, savings and investments, and debt management, always focusing on clear guidance and practical support.

Alongside this role, Jacob also became a facilitator, delivering sessions both in person and virtually to large audiences. Topics included the cost of living, financial choices, banking fundamentals, fraud awareness, and scam prevention. This experience strengthened his communication skills and ability to make financial matters accessible and understandable.

He later moved into business banking with NatWest as a Lending Specialist, supporting SMEs with finance solutions and a range of business banking products. In October 2025, Jacob joined One Stop Business Finance, where he now works closely with clients across the North West, delivering face-to-face support, structuring complex finance solutions, and growing a strong network of introducers and business relationships.

One of the most rewarding parts of Jacob’s role is helping businesses access the right funding to support growth, overcome challenges, and create new opportunities.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys football, padel, and golf. He is also an accomplished musician and has performed at prestigious venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall.
