We are hiring a Finance Director

Due to continued growth, One Stop Business Finance is recruiting an experienced Finance Director.

As we expand we have a very exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Finance Director to join us and help with our continued growth.

Purpose of the role:

  • Drive the financial planning of the business by analysing its performance and risks.
  • Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
  • Ensure that funding is in place to support the growth aspirations of the business.
  • Set up and oversee the finance IT system and wider IT for the business.
  • Be a key member of the five-person Executive Team.
  • Support to the shareholders in respect of the OSBF SSAS pension and other financial matters.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing and new funders to support the growth aspirations of the business.
  • Work with our accountants in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
  • Management of the Statutory Audit.
  • Work closely with the other members of the Executive Team and the Business Development Directors to ensure that financial targets are met.
  • Support the wider Business Development and Operations team to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Preparation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Budget pack.
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and reporting to institutional funders.
  • Preparation and management of cash drawdowns from institutional funders.
  • Regular updating of the year end forecast.
  • Weekly issue of Quarterly Cash Flow Forecast.
  • Drafting of the Quarterly Funders Letter on behalf of the Group Managing Director.
  • Daily cash management, maintaining the bank accounts and the relationship with the bank.
  • Payment of RCF/development clients.
  • Management and control of the weekly payment run and monthly salary payments.
  • Monthly preparation of client statements and redemption statements when required.
  • Update and maintenance of the commission and bonus payments for all staff.
  • Attendance at the weekly planning meeting and issue of weekly completions email.
  • Attendance at the Quarterly Credit Review and Executive Meetings.
  • Custodian of the Delegated Authority Matrix.
  • Financial management of the OSBF SSAS Pension and interface with the Pension Administrators.
  • Maintain the finance processes ensuring they are always up to date.
  • Take responsibility for financial processes including procurement and their ongoing improvement.
  • Management of FCA reporting.
  • Preparation of Quarterly VAT returns.
  • Ensure that all company insurance policies are in place and up to date.
