Trainee Accountant

Lucy Barker joined One Stop Business Finance in June 2024 and is a valued member of the team, bringing strong analytical skills and an impressive academic background in finance and mathematics.

Lucy joined OSBF directly from the University of York, where she completed a BSc in Mathematics followed by a Masters in Mathematical Finance. Her studies provided a strong technical understanding of financial theory, data analysis, and problem solving, making her move into commercial finance a natural next step.

She began her journey at One Stop Business Finance as a Sales & Admin Executive, giving her a broad understanding of the operational side of the business and the day-to-day processes that support clients and introducers. In October 2025, Lucy’s role evolved further as she began studying towards her ACA qualification, taking the next step in her professional development with the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Lucy enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where she can apply her academic knowledge to real-world business situations. Her willingness to learn, attention to detail, and positive approach have made her an important part of the OSBF team.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys keeping active through the gym and dance.
